Established in 1940 by Gene Claseman, Gene's Studio has become a hallmark for fine photography in Sioux Falls and the surrounding area.

In 1972, photographer Stephen Parezo began to work for and train with Claseman. Parezo purchased the business from Claseman in 1980, and continues to carry on the quality and excellence Gene's Studio is known for. In 2006 Gene's Studio moved to a brand new studio located in south central Sioux Falls.
